Precalculus and Developmental Mathematics Technology Workshop
This three hour, hands-on technology workshop introduces “Action-Consequence” documents that motivate and support student exploration and mastery of tough-to-learn concepts in Precalculus and Developmental Mathematics courses. Participants will work with documents that allow students to act on mathematical objects, observe the consequences of these actions and reflect on the mathematical meaning of these consequences using the latest computer software and handheld technology. Participants also will learn how to graph, calculate, and create simple but rich lessons with the technology. The software and handheld used will be TI-Nspire™ Technology. . Participants that attend the workshop will be given a 90-day trial version of TI-Nspire Computer Software – Teacher Edition with the opportunity to complete an online course to obtain a permanent personal license of the software.
Wade Ellis, Jr. will be the workshop presenter.
